The LSF school is Cambodia has been closed back down. The ministry of education had opened our for 9th grade on Sept 7th. Our classes were IN PERSON during the mornings only, and were split up in 3 groups. We look forward to our school reopening hopefully in the near future.
We are taking over the St. Joe's NICU floor to surprise each mama with AMAZING donated items, and also a basket of Pure Haven non toxic mama and baby body products. If we get enough support, we can expand to another NICU. See below for details on our 2020 takeover.
Each basket is a $45 donation. You can email us with questions: ladysavantfoundation@gmail.com. We accept venmo (ladysavantfoundation LSF) or PayPal on the button here:
We need your help! Let's make KINDNESS A HABIT together. With every Kindness Chart sold, proceeds will go towards supporting our GBA girl program, our school and building on our kindness initiative.
Due to the global pandemic, our usual focus on our Cambodia school and young volunteer programs in the US were pulled in a different direction for the first half of 2020. Although we still engaged our young volunteers with projects to support our medical professionals, we put 150% of our focus on the COVID19 fight.
During the pandemic, we raised over $15,000 to send PPE and meals to our local superhero medical professionals on the front lines. We sent these supplies and meals to more than 10 hospitals including: Valley Hospital, NY Presbyterian, HUMC, St. Joe's, Holy Name, Columbia Presbyterian, Maui Memorial Hospital and the VA.
The Lady Savant Foundation pulled off a huge 'surprise takeover' of the NICU floor at St Joe’s Hospital in Paterson AND the NICU floor at Hackensack University Medical Center this Mother’s Day.
See below for more details; this will be an annual event so please reach out if you would like to be involved next year,.
🎀 Ribbons of Gratitude 🎀
Our goal is to cover the town with ribbons so that, when these dedicated individuals drive through, they will see the endless gratitude we have for their service. Thank you to Rene for the ribbon donation!
All proceeds from this fundraiser will fund meals (from local restaurants) and supplies 😷 for the front line.
We are proud to say that 100% of our ribbon donations have gone to buy supplies for front line workers, and meals to local hospitals. In total with combined fundraising efforts, we raised $15k for PPE. To date, we have provided supplies to over 10 hospitals, several local private practices, nursing homes, doctors, nurses, technicians, and many essential workers who reached out for help.
In honor of National Nurse Appreciation Day (but we included Doctors too- because we’re all in this together right!?) we delivered over 20 refreshing bottles of @jardininfusions, and then to some at large hospitals we sent boxes of coffee k cups and snacks for the snack rooms! ☕️ Thank you for all that you do!!
Goodies went to Doctors and nurses living in Franklin Lakes that work at many private practices and 8 different hospitals.
With our Ribbons of Gratitude donations, we sent hot meals to many hospitals and ER teams to show our appreciation. At the time, most were completely COVID19 hospitals and it was difficult for our front line workers to pop out and get a bite without suiting up for interacting with positive patients. One hospital had no cafeteria as their cook died of COVID19 and the cafeteria was shut down for weeks for cleaning.
Our young volunteers from around the nation including CA, NJ, NYC, Hawaii made homemade cards showing their support and gratitude to our brave and selfless 'Superhero' medical workers. Cards were included to the hospitals we went supplies to, primarily in the hardest hit areas in NJ and NY.
The Lady Savant Foundation pulled off a huge 'surprise takeover' of the NICU floor at St Joe’s Hospital in Paterson AND the NICU floor at Hackensack University Medical Center this Mother’s Day. Sadly (and unbelievably) some of these NICU moms have also tested positive for COVID. So they not only just gave birth and have a NICU baby, but fighting for their health and are all alone. As we know positive patients are not allowed visitors, and some will not be allowed to hold or touch their newborns for days or weeks. So... it takes a village right? We came together with many amazing donors and sponsors and let these moms know that they aren’t alone, and that someone is thinking of them and celebrating them during this crazy time. Collectively we surprised over 80 moms this year with Amazon, Starbucks, Sephora, jewelry gift cards, flowers, cards, cookies, special baby products, new mom products, gift cards for new shoes, clothing and more!
*We also donated a brand new iPad to the NICU floor at St Joe's so that the moms could see and talk to their new babies that were on separate floors due to COVID19*
Special thanks to the following sponsors: Jardin Infusions, Amy O'Hara, Noobie Box, Rookie Humans, AV Norden, Sarah Joy, Happy Island Baby Pads, Spring Lake Toy Foundation, Rock Road Jewelry , DPARZ shoes, ThisMamaSoul, Loyal Hana, For Purpose Kids, and more.
COMING TOGETHER TO EXPRESS OUR GRATITUDE TO EVERYONE WHO IS SACRIFICING FOR US
Our Lady Savant Foundation school in Cambodia provides a safe and enhanced education environment to 300 students located in an area of extreme poverty. We are working hard to keep our female students in school and educated through our 'Girls Be Ambitious program'.
We provide meaningful experiences in giving back, and are working hard to provide fun, interactive and rewarding opportunities to our young (and young at heart) volunteers.
We believe in planting the 'caring seed' early in our young volunteers,
We hope these experiences will empower our future generations to BE KIND
