Our goal is simple: to help kids around the world.
Globally we are starting with the foundation of education; we have built two schools so far including one in Cambodia and one in Africa.
Here in the U.S. our goal is to get young children involved in giving back, promoting kindness, and getting involved in their communities.
The Lady Savant Foundation funded school is located in a very rural and poor area called Taney Village. The average income there is $1/day.
Our school currently has 280 students and is the equivalent of 6th-8th grades. We provided the students with school supplies, sports equipment, a sports field, a garden (which feeds the students and their parents on a weekly basis), an english teacher, and a computer lab. We are currently looking to fund a reservoir system that would sustain their garden during the dry season.
Even more importantly, we 'adopted' 20 of the girls in our school to keep them safe, in school, and out of factory work and the sex trafficking trade. Unfortunately in poverty stricken areas such as rural Cambodia, girls are often sold into human trafficking. Our goal is to keep all of our at risk girls in school.
We have funded an elementary school in Liberia, Africa. Following a destructive civil war, the area was left without a functioning school system. Construction and reparations started this year and the kids have now started school. In addition, we funded a medical clinic within the school including a nurse, to help treat minor illnesses and provide basic care to our students.
We provide young (and old) volunteers meaningful experiences in giving back, and are working hard to provide fun, interactive and rewarding opportunities to our volunteers.
We believe in planting the 'caring seed' early in our young volunteers,
We hope these experiences will empower our future generations to BE KIND
Oasis is a haven for women and children changing lives one woman and one child at a time.
Our group volunteered time to their after school care program that gives woking single mothers child care and also academic help to kids. We participated in an afternoon of reading, homework help, Halloween craft, playing and having a snack with their after school care program kids.
We partnered with NJ Food and Clothing rescue on their biggest donation day - the winter drive. Our group fed and clothed over 500 homeless people in Newark. Together our kids made hundreds of sandwiches, cookies, brownies, and also donated hundreds of drinks, snacks and fruits.
We spread holiday cheer to the local nursing home. We sang christmas carols and did holiday crafts with the clients there, as well as engage in some great conversations!
We collected and provided a Birthday party in a bag to local families in need. We assisted the Ridgewood SSA by providing a birthday experience for all children with February birthdays, including Cake Mix, Frosting, Candles, Balloons, Wrapping Paper, Scotch Tape, Paper Goods, Puzzle, Book, Game.
We collected tons of household cleaners, food and diapers for the Ridgewood SSA Food Pantry. The kids (and adults) learned more about our neighbors who need a little extra help, and helped set up the ‘store’.
SSA's pantry is stocked with basic food essentials which help supplement the nutritional needs of their clients. They are one of the only self-service food pantries in our area.
Brightened up a nursing home with some holiday cheer from our young volunteers. We played their favorite game, Bingo, and provided the prizes as well!

Our group volunteered to make and serve hot dinner meals to the homeless at the Church of the Epiphany. The group that afternoon was really special and we had some great interactions on all levels.
We had our team of young volunteers make special gifts of homemade Mother’s Day cards and decorated wooden frames so that the young moms of the Several Sources Shelter would have something to open today. We wanted to let them know they are loved and appreciated too on this special mom day.

Several Sources take in pregnant women who have nowhere to turn . They otherwise would be living out of their cars, homeless etc. Some come from prominent homes but for whatever reason are kicked out of their homes for being pregnant. While at the shelters (on average for about one year) the women either are required to work or attend courses in college (eastwick college). The shelters receive
